Fence Beautification Project
Installation date: Begun 12/4/11
Location: Corner of Pikes Peak and Colbrunn Ct in Old Colorado City.
Concept: I was invited to yarn bomb this fence by some of the artists at Second Floor Studios. I wanted to play with the paint mixing techniques that I started in the Bike Rack Cozy (below) while keeping the individual pieces portable, quick, and still challenging.
Additional sections of the fence will be bedecked by February 3, 2012. The project is scheduled to come down on May 1, 2012.

Bike Rack Cozy
Installed 7/9/11
Location: Bemis School of Art, 818 Pelham Pl., Colorado Springs, CO
Concept: I've put two smaller bombs on this bike rack so far this year and they've both disappeared. So I figured that it's be harder to get away with removing it if I covered the whole thing. 20' of ribbing and cables, intersperced with a few other distraction projects can be a long project. I've been working on this on and off for about 4 months.
I sometimes teach kids art classes here and use the color wheel a lot. The progression of colors in this piece is reminiscent of that tool.
Video tapes used include: "Cubs Baseball", "Michael", "D2", "Sanford and Son", "Marked for Death", "I Love Lucy", "Most Wanted", "Donnie Brasco", and "Disclosure".

"Hello Lamp Post"
Installation date: 10/15/10
Location: the parking lot of Bemis School of Art, 818 Pelham Pl., Colorado Springs, CO
Video tapes used: "The Long Kiss Goodnight," "Mother's Boys," "Blood Sport," "Overboard," "Coming to America," home movies, "Olympics and Scooby Doo," Muppet Show," "The Sons of Katie Elder," and "Robin Hood"
Concept: make the base of the lamps prettier and more visible so people stop hitting them with their cars.
